Golf ??

Shoppers or Not!
In the heart of Dubai, just across City Center, you may be surprised to find a green oasis where you can relax and enjoy - Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club.
What is happening there?
A little bit of every thing!
Golf is the main theme.
Ladies coffee morning with the golf professionals at the Creek Golf Academy is on Wednesday morning. This is a good opportunity to learn golf in a package of lessons in a warm, friendly and relaxed atmosphere . Demo evenings for Par 3 tournaments between 6 to 8 pm are organised along with putting tournaments. The Junior Academy accommodates kids between 4 to 7 years old. (I am a parent who would love to raise the next Tiger Woods).
Apart from the Golf Dubai Creeks offers the facility of chartering boats for fishing, sports boats or luxurious yachts.
And of coarse the restaurants which are offering various cosines - The Legend Steakhouse, The Aquarium, Lakeview.

Some time ago we have checked for a membership at the Creek, only to be told that there is a long waiting list and a member has to quit for new one to get in. Is it still like that??

Hi,
I don’t think that the membership situation it’s better now, but you don’t have to be a member in order to use the facility. You can just pay for a game with a partner for the day. If I remember correct one game was around 500 AED. Why bother with a membership applications and waiting lists if you can simply book for individual game whenever you want and available?

Hi again,
I remember now another deal. If you want to practice only putting, you can pay 25 AED for 50 balls and go on. And regarding the membership, I will suggest to you to check again as now there is a new Golf Club near by – Al Badiya and maybe some members shifted there.

Hello,
Can you please tell me about the kid’s lessons and the ladies coffee mornings? Is it the same as the Expatmum coffee mornings? And can any one go?
Thanks

Hi,
About the ladies coffee mornings I can’t tell very much as I never been to one. For the kids is pretty very much like any other activities. There is a package of 8 lessons for the price of 600AED. It’s only on Friday morning from 9 or 10.15 or 11 am. The lessons are group lessons, but the groups are small. Currently the group of my kid is only of 4 children, which is good as the coach can pay more individual attention to every one. All equipment is available for purchase at the club and no need to bother to search around. I think that the next term will begin in January and if you interested you can book from now.
Hope it helps a bit.
